I have grow to love David Cook over the season, but I doubt he will win. Despite brilliant performances this evening, the "judges" paid only lip service to him. Where was the praise for originality, truth and heart this evening? I thought David A was much more controlled than usual, and there is no disputing his amazing voice, but let's face it - he had ALREADY done "Imagine"!! Guess it doesn't make any difference if you only extend yourself that far, given the reality about viewers - most probably tuned in for the first time this evening. We all know that's what Simon was saying to David C. Oh well, I buy David C and would love to see him in concert. David A will have a following and likely a brilliant career... but as Geo Mason says, hopefully he will have real guides and is not exploited by those out for their own selfish interests.

Every song David A sings sounds the same; I am so bored w/it. David C is original, shows many different sides and whether he wins or not will have much more success in his music career than David A.

David A. has no personality to become a star. Can he sing yes, is he boring yes. David Cook has proved he is talented at both performing and arranging music.

Well Archuletta may have a good voice but I think his voice will get worse over the next few years maybe even a year as he still has that young man voice. Cook is set though. Why vote for someone who only has a few years left where Cook is gonna be fine God helping for years and years.

The judges were extremely biased as they have been all season, I am over this show it has lost everything that it had. I hope cook wins just to put the judges in their place, bad show all the way through!!!

It was like seeing Daughtry vs Josh Groban. An idol definitely Cook has the performance and maturity. David A needs some life experience and maybe he'll grow in to that voice. Although it could be another Reuben- Clay finally where the loser out performs the winner when it come to an actual career.

I don't know if the rumours about David A's father are true, but at 17, and with David A.'s self-effacing (an act?), immature (unfortunately not an act) character, becoming the next American Idol could be the worst thing for him personally in the long-run. Success and public scrutiny take a great deal in a person to keep the boat afloat, and with a potentially abusive parent and exploitive producers, the poor kid better hire David C. to mentor him until he is 21, or the boat will capsize and "poor little David" will be... Too bad they accept contestants so young!!!

David A is BORING and I am diosgusted that the judges and producers could not see that he does not have the consistency or the whole package. An entire disc of that nasaly voice???? NO THANKS!

I think David C was smart enough to know what he was doing. He's been outsmarting us all from the beginning. There was a reason Simon said DC was one of the nicest, most sincere contestant ever....because he was choosing to let DA win. DC will go on to superstardom and probably has offers already. DA won't.Besides, when you have a dying brother in the audience, winning a contest takes on a different perspective than when you have a dad in the audience pushing his dream.

Love David Cook. So what if his songs werent the best in some people's opinion, at least he mixed it up by doing something DIFFERENT not redoing a song like Archy did. But really, David A will win because he's a pretty face. Face it- he is the fourth Jonas Brother and do we really need any more of those?

But David C will get the record deal and be twice as successful as Archuleta.

Remeber Chris Daughtry? You dont need to win American Idol to be a star and Cook is way more deserving and taleneted.

Nice try Archuleta, but how many more teen pop 'stars' do we need?

Cant wait for David Cook's debut album- I'll be first in line.

DA once again flubbed lyrics and was not called on it- second line of Don't let the Sun- he sang it twice. Judges let it ago AGAIN.
