She knocked twice on the dressing room door. "It's open," replied the person inside said room. She contemplated for awhile, took a deep breath, and opened the door. "Oh, it's you," he said, still in the outfit he wore for the stage performance, black long sleeved button shirt, pants and a red tie now buttoned down. He glanced at her and immediately froze. It wasn't because of anything really, but just the sight of her in her black tube dress was enough to drive him insane. He loved seeing her in dresses, she just naturally looked good in them. After getting over his sudden freeze in movement, he asked ,"What did you think of the show?" She hesitated for a moment, then replied ,"That last song...was beautiful....brought me to tears." It wasn't that she had any sort of problem opening up to him, in face she had been close to him ever since she met him. She just felt unnaturally comfortable being next to him, it was scary. At any moment she could just blurt out her feelings without even noticing. "I didn't see you in the crowd today......" he voiced out ,"kind of thought you were avoiding me on purpose...you know...ever since that day." "Well......" she replied, and stopped for awhile, as if choosing her words, before continuing ,"who wouldn't avoid someone who just confessed his feelings for her the night before?" "Well, if it helps," he replied ,"I meant every word of it." It wasn't exactly the reply she was hoping for, not that she didn't have feelings for him. She did, in fact, but in a less subtle manner. She was actually hoping that he would take back what he said last night, on a count of him being really plastered when he said it. "Just so you know," he broke the silence ,"I wont rush you into any harsh decisions." Slowly, she walked towards him, taking each step with precaution. When she was about an inch away from him, she leaned forward, resting her head on his shoulder. Getting the hint, he wrapped his arms around her, leaning in on her head, breathing in the smell of her hair. "I love you..." he whispered, almost too quietly. She did hear it, just that she pretended not to. They stood there, in each others arms for awhile, as if they had all the time in the world. Then, he pulled away from her, arms still wrapped around her. She stared at him in confusion, not sure of what would occur next. He extended his right arm and placed it on her cheek, drawing her closer. She followed the direction of his hand, her head moving closer and closer each second to those lips that she desperately wanted to kiss. At the very last moment, just as their lips were within millimeters of each others, she pulled away. She then proceeded to free herself of his grasp, even though she desperately wanted to feel his touch. She took a few steps back, as if afraid of the person she was facing. He did not complain. He just patiently waited. "I.....cant..." she said, still moving back. "What are you afraid of?" he asked questionably. Those words made her come to a complete stop. She didn't exactly know why, but those words dwelled on in her mind. "You....." she blurted out without even thinking. He stood dumbstruck by those words, and contemplated it in his mind. "Then don't be," he said in a calming voice ,"I wont hurt you, I never will." Those words gave her all the comfort she needed. In seconds, she ran to him, clutching him tightly, as if afraid that he would disappear. Her lips met his, and before you know it they were kissing the life out of each other. Their hands didn't stop there either. In an instant they were both holding on to each other, pulling them together as close as they could. To her, that moment was complete bliss. She had finally opened up her feelings for him, and him being a good kisser didn't hurt either. Suddenly, in the midst of all this, there was a knock on the door. Immediately, she pulled away, out of his arms, and made her way to the door, as if nothing just happened. "Wait," he said, just as she reached for the doorknob ,"Where does this leave us?" "We'll see," she said abruptly and left.
